It is always a good idea to provide your tenants with some tips on how they can help keep your property secure while they are occupying it. This is particularly useful for young tenants that are renting for the first time. Good tips to include are:

  • Reminder to close and lock doors at night and when the property is empty

  • Suggest storing keys out of sight so they can’t be spotted from the outside

  • Suggest using timer lights when leaving the property vacant for any length of time
